Why the Rocking Chair Patrol?
Well, it's not because we are old and decrepid and need a rocking chair. At least not ALL of us!

It's because if we are doing our jobs as adult leaders, that's where we spend most of our time. Sitting back, being a monitoring resource and watching things happen. We are also there as a deep safety. The challenge for all of us is to allow the scouts to make some of their own mistakes. It OKAY, as long as they are safe. There are times that working through problems and learning from your small failures is the right thing to do.

And the Hammocks?

Each adult who spend one or more nights at Summer Camp in support of our scouts is awarded a hammock rocker for that year. 'Cause we like recognition too!
